We’re living in deeply troubling times. As the executive branch continues to strip away rights and freedoms, I feel more anger than I ever have before.

Like many of you, I’ve been searching for ways to push back against the fear and hate. While attending protests and calling my representatives are important actions, they don’t feel like enough. I want to do something tangible—something that actively uplifts the voices that need to be heard. That’s why I’m creating this project.

While I don’t have a massive following, I do have a platform, and I want to use it for good.

This is where you come in.

I’m seeking members of the LGBTQIA+ community—specifically trans and nonbinary individuals—who are open to sharing their stories through photography and conversation. My goal is to create a space where your experiences and humanity are truly seen and heard.

This is not about tokenism or performative allyship. It’s about amplifying voices that too often go unheard and fostering understanding in a world that can be cruel and unkind.

As a cis white woman, I know I will never fully understand what it means to navigate the world as a trans or nonbinary person. But I believe deeply in the power of listening, learning, and using my skills as a photographer to help educate those who fear or misunderstand.

If you’re interested in being part of this project, I’d love to connect. Please fill out the application form below, and I’ll be in touch soon. And if you don’t feel safe participating in this project in these difficult and dangerous times, please know that you are still important and the world is so much better because you are here.

This project is about more than just photographs - it’s about visibility, dignity, and the quiet strength of being seen. Through soft, romantic, and vulnerable imagery, I want to showcase the humanity of trans and nonbinary individuals -revealing them not as "other" but as people deserving of the same love, security, and rights as anyone else.
